Cruise Freek Forums - About our Groups

Cruise Freek Forums Unlike other cruise message boards, our group cruises are formed by our members and, handled by Cruise Freek Forums affiliate travel agents. We know there are many rumors floating around that Cruise Freek travel agents kickback commission to the board owner, however, that simply isn't true. Cruise Freeks earns it's revenue strictly through advertising.

Furthermore, we realize that sometimes doing business on the Internet can be risky. That is why Cruise Freek Forums screens their affiliated travel agents well before allowing them to become Official Travel Agents. They must be CLIA members in good standing and meet other criteria to insure everyone you are in good hands. You can rest assured you are dealing with a professional travel agent when you book a Cruise Freek Forums group.

The big difference between other cruise board travel agencies, or, frankly your current travel agent is that Cruise Freek Forums affiliated travel agents aren't just order takers. You can be assured quality, caring, professional service from start to finish, and, the assigned travel agent travels with the group to insure a smooth and highly enjoyable cruise experience.

We take pride in going that extra step to make our groups special - including NOT forcing socialization. We understand not everyone wants to be social and be forced into activities, therefore, our groups are always open to those who just wish to enjoy the perks of group travel such as pricing or amenities - without the group hassles!

Why Book So Early?

We form our groups early. For nearly every cruiser, the most important factor in a cruise is cost. Therefore, in order to obtain the best prices for you, we form our groups a year or more before the actual sailing. We realize many of you cannot understand why booking so far away from the sail date is necessary but, it is to save you money! Remember - you only need to place the deposit, not the full amount and also your deposit is refundable. The money we save you by booking and depositing early will certainly outweigh any interest you might accumulate in your bank.

Cruise Freek Christmas Cruise in 2010 from Cape Liberty NJ

Cruise Freek Forums is proud to offer both peak and off-peak group cruise opportunities and, in 2010 we're thrilled to be offering a Christmas/New Year's cruise aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines from Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ.

We will be offering a pre-cruise package in Manhattan for those interested which will include hotel, dinner and an evening performance of the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. Transfers from Manhattan to Bayonne, NJ to the cruise terminal.

What's the appeal of cruising from a cold weather port? With over 15 million people in the immediate New York City metropolitan area, there is a lot of people who enjoy cruising but, who don't want to fly, especially during the holidays. This gives them the opportunity to enjoy a Holiday cruise without the hassles of flying. And, for those who don't live in the immediate area - it is a wonderful time to visit New York since the city is at it's best during the Holiday season - from Rockefeller Center to the department store window displays - Manhattan can only be described as magical during the Christmas season. It's truly something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

While Cruise Freek Forums is waiting for the release of the itinerary in April, 2009, it's expect that the ship will remain Explorer of the Seas which has been homeported in Bayonne, NJ for the past several years on a year round basis. In the meantime, you are invited to join our opt-in list to be kept up-to-date on pricing, itinerary and other information such as the pre-cruise package once it is finalized. Click the following link to join the opt-in list: http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/Cruise-Freek-For ... and then take a few moments to visit our dedicated website for this sailing. While the dedicated website is under construction, you're still invited to browse: http://www.holidaycruise2010.makeswebsites.com/

Cruise Freek Forums does anticipate this sailing to be a sell out. Those who join our opt-in list will have first choice of cabins and the best pricing available and therefore, if you are even somewhat interested, you are encouraged to join our opt-in list: http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/Cruise-Freek-For ...

Cruise Freek Forums group cruises take the hassles out of the group. While we always have group activities for those who are interested, you are never forced or pressured to join. Our group motto is "It's your time, it's your vacation" and, if you want to book simply for pricing and amenities, we always welcome you!

Christmas Cruise 2010 - Cruise For Charity

It all started with a group cruise Cruise Freek Forums is organizing for charity in association with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in October, 2010. And, the idea has taken off like wildfire, seems most of the people on Cruise Freek Forums care about their fellow human beings and, therefore, a number of our cruises will be making donations in association with our cruise groups.

What does this mean exactly, usually it will mean instead of $100 on-board credit, you'll get $50 and the other $50 goes to charity. You still get your cruise and, you get to do something for someone else you really needs your help. Now, you can support group cruises on other boards who do nothing or you can join us and make your trip worthwhile for you and someone else.

For the 2010 Christmas sailing, we are once again aligning ourselves with Toys For Tots.

It all starts by you placing your email on our opt-in list located here:
http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/Cruise-Freek-Forums-Present-Holiday-Cruise-2010-h63.htm

Then check out the dedicated website for this sailing which is still under construction:
http://www.holidaycruise2010.makeswebsites.com/

And then join us on Cruise Freek Forums to discuss this wonderful sailing and pre-cruise activities:

Christmas Cruise from Bayonne NJ in 2010

Cruise Freeks are already planning ahead to the Holidays in 2010. We're forming a group cruise on Royal Caribbean from Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ and you're invited to place your email in our opt-list to receive updates!

Christmas and winter cruises can make great cold-weather getaways for families. This provides a chance to bond together on a cruise ship over the holidays.

It can also be a great way to gather several family members or friends together in one spot for Christmas, Hanukkah or New Year's Eve. You can even spend some together time with in-laws, parents, grandparents and siblings on board, while getting intimate time with your spouse and children in ports of call.

Schools and colleges have extended breaks at this time. The cruise industry has discovered that this is a great season to target families, and many are offering Christmas, winter, Hanukkah or New Year's Eve themed cruises.

In 2010, Cruise Freek Forums will be sailing from Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ for a Caribbean cruise during the Holidays. Now is the time to start thinking about this fantastic opportunity and sign up for our free, no obligation opt-in newsletter. Once pricing comes out in 2009, you'll be informed of the pricing, amenities and travel agent selected. There is no obligation to book if you sign up with out opt-in letter: http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/Cruise-Freek-For ...

Why book with a group? Well, some groups are too groupie and tend to turn people off but, by booking with Cruise Freek Forums, here's what you can expect:

WHY BOOK A GROUP CRUISE WITH CRUISE FREEK FORUMS?

1) No forced socializations! We will certainly organize Meet and Greets and other such activities if there is enough interest, however, you are never required to attend. Likewise, you may select your dining time and table size just like if you were booking an individual reservation. It's your vacation, it's your time!

2) Groups generally tend to receive some type of amenities package like on-board credit and discounted rates on fares.

3) Reliable, dependable, trustworthy travel agents to make booking your cruise a pleasure. Unless there is a scheduling conflict, our assigned travel agent will be escorting the group to aid with any onboard requirements that might arise.

Our Christmas 2010 Opt-in List

I've received a few emails accusing me of collecting emails for spam purposes and, this is just not true. If you would bother to take the time, you would see that Cruise Freek Forums is very real. You would also see that our opt-in lists always allow you to unsubscribe. Therefore, if YOU are the person putting in your email address, there is no way or justification of accusing me of trying to spam. I am deeply resentful AND, believe me, I know your loyalties are to another board.

I apologize for this rant but, it angers me to think people are that jealous and mean. Our board owner on Cruise Freek Forums came up with a unique marketing idea and now the other boards are annoyed they didn't think of it first. Well, too bad! We're here to stay so deal with us!

That being said, you are invited to join our opt-in list, which you will see you can unsubscribe from at anytime:
http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/Cruise-Freek-Forums-Present-Holiday-Cruise-2010-h63.htm

This cruise ship is so high-tech, it even features the University of Miami Ocean Lab, a state-of-the-art oceanographic and atmospheric science lab.

2010 Christmas Cruise from NJ - Join us

Now that things are settling down with Oasis of the Seas and, we now know the inaugural date and people are beginning to make their respective plans for this amazing ship, I'd like to turn your attention even further into the future. Let's talk about the holidays - meaning Christmas and New Years in 2010 - and why now is the time to sign up for our opt-in list to be kept informed about the group cruise being planned on Cruise Freek Forums.

Our dedicated website for this sailing: http://www.holidaycruise2010.makeswebsites.com/

Let's face facts, the holidays aren't like they were 20 or 30 years ago. The family unit has changed drastically - divorces and separations, relocation away from family for work purposes, demanding jobs forcing nearly everyone to work 5o to 60 hour weeks. Times have changed and, therefore, the way we spend holidays have changed. On top of all the stress of every day living, it boggles my mind to even think to attempt trying to plan a fun holiday at home for the family. And, that's why I want to make you aware of why cruising is becoming more and more popular during the holidays. So popular that Christmas and New Year's have become two of the most popular weeks of the year to cruise!

Advantages of cruising during the holidays:

1) The entire family can meet in one place, have plenty of time together, have room for everyone to sleep in a bed, no one has to worry about cooking, cleaning or entertaining.

2)
Just about all schools are closed for the time between Christmas and New Years, so, little to no time lost in school for vacation purposes.

3)
A refreshing change of scenery. For most of the USA and Canada, December and early January are just the start of snow season, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the white stuff afterward. Besides, do you think you and your family would enjoy one last blast of summery, tropical weather before facing the long, hard winter ahead.

4)
Someone else is worried about the shopping, prep work, cooking and serving of menus. It's no longer your problem who eats this, who can't have that - the ships offer a wide variety of food - day and night - every minute you are on the ship! Think about what you can do with all that free time!

5)
You aren't going to miss the festivities of the holidays. The ships are decorated from bow to stern. Christmas trees, garland, and all the trimmings make the ships look exceptional. And, if you celebrate Hanukkah, not to worry, it's celebrated on board too!

6)
Religious services are conducted right on board the ship. Each year the cruise lines offer special holiday services aboard the ship including Roman Catholic mass, Non-denominational services and, a rabbi is aboard for Hanukkah.

7)
After factoring the cost of presents, decorating, food, entertaining and things that simply don't carry a price tag - like your own personal sanity, cruising offers a fairly comparable cost. Yes, cruise ARE higher during Christmas and New Year's week but, isn't everything mentioned above worth something to you? Or do you enjoy running yourself ragged and ending up with a cold or flu every Christmas because of the stress you're under?

8)
Nope, the kids aren't forgot. Santa Clause amazingly has time to find all the cruise ships and makes special efforts to appear in person for the children on board. Often with small token gifts for each of them. Clever parents can make the effort to bring presents to surprise their children Christmas morning.

Why start planning for 2010 in 2008 - it's two years away!

1) If this is something of interest to you, it's as simple as placing your email address on our opt-in list. You'll receive updates regarding this sailing and that will include everything from travel agent assignment to pricing and itinerary when it becomes available in April, 2009 to receiving invitations to exclusive events. So no need to wait, it takes less than 30 seconds to place your email on our opt-in list. Do it now! http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/Cruise-Freek-Forums-Present-Holiday-Cruise-2010-h63.htm

2)
By beginning to plan NOW, you have two years to speak to family members and get everyone organized. It also gives you roughly nine months to before you even need to place a deposit which for the sailing I am promoting will be $450 per person - so family of four would place a deposit of $1800. That's just $200 per month you need to set aside. And, that full $1800 deposit is put towards your total cost of your cruise! And then you'll have another entire year or longer to pay off the balance!

3)
It gives you time to discuss the plans with the extended family and invite them to join you. Chances are they're going to have to fly to you or you to them anyhow, so, why not put that airline, if you even need it, to good use and put that money towards a family reunion cruise during the holidays! Wouldn't it be nice to be able to see Uncle Fred but, not responsible for entertaining him 24/7?

4)
By booking with Cruise Freek Forums, you're going to receive special perks that you simply won't receive booking on your own. By booking with Cruise Freek Forums, you'll have group amenities without the group! In other words, you are never forced or pressured to join any of the activities planned. They will certainly be offered but, you will never be forced or pressured to join - never. Cruise Freek Forums policy is that it's your time, it's your vacation! And, Cruise Freek Forums must be doing something right with over 360 emails on the Oasis of the Seas opt-in list that says a lot about our group programs!

5)
One of the perks of booking with Cruise Freek Forums is the amazing pre-cruise packages put together. Many other group leave you on your own to get to the port of embarkation and to the ship. Cruise Freek Forums is a little different. Cruise Freek Forums will be offering both one and two nights pre-cruise stays in Manhattan prior to the Holiday sailing in 2010 from Bayonne, NJ on Royal Caribbean. Right now, on the Cruise Freek Message board - which by the way is free and open to everyone - we're discussing our pre-cruise activities. We're tentatively going to go Radio City for the Christmas Spectacular or perhaps to a Broadway show or both! We're also going to have dinner in a New York City restaurant prior to the show or shows, and, we'll be taking a bus tour of the city. The package will include transfers to Bayonne, NJ to begin the holiday cruise. Come on over and join the discussion: http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/royal-caribbean-f12/christmas-on-eos-t1031.htm

We have photos of the ship and NYC during holidays and lots of chatting back and forth about what we'd like to see and do. Come on and join us! http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/royal-caribbean-f12/christmas-on-eos-t1031.htm

So does Cruise Freek Forums have our act together or what? The first steps are easy:

1) Place your email on our opt-in list: http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/Cruise-Freek-Forums-Present-Holiday-Cruise-2010-h63.htm
2) If you wish, join Cruise Freeks and give us your ideas and opinions on things to do for the holiday cruise from Bayonne in 2010: http://cruisefreekforums.forumfreek.com/royal-caribbean-f12/christmas-on-eos-t1031.htm
3) Book and deposit your cruise in April, 2009
4) Come cruising with us in December, 2010
5) Have the memories for the rest of your life!

2) Just about all schools are closed for the time between Christmas and New Years, so, little to no time lost in school for vacation purposes.
3) A refreshing change of scenery. For most of the USA and Canada, December and early January are just the start of snow season, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the white stuff afterward. Besides, do you think you and your family would enjoy one last blast of summery, tropical weather before facing the long, hard winter ahead.
4) Someone else is worried about the shopping, prep work, cooking and serving of menus. It's no longer your problem who eats this, who can't have that - the ships offer a wide variety of food - day and night - every minute you are on the ship! Think about what you can do with all that free time!
5) You aren't going to miss the festivities of the holidays. The ships are decorated from bow to stern. Christmas trees, garland, and all the trimmings make the ships look exceptional. And, if you celebrate Hanukkah, not to worry, it's celebrated on board too!
6) Religious services are conducted right on board the ship. Each year the cruise lines offer special holiday services aboard the ship including Roman Catholic mass, Non-denominational services and, a rabbi is aboard for Hanukkah.
7) After factoring the cost of presents, decorating, food, entertaining and things that simply don't carry a price tag - like your own personal sanity, cruising offers a fairly comparable cost. Yes, cruise ARE higher during Christmas and New Year's week but, isn't everything mentioned above worth something to you? Or do you enjoy running yourself ragged and ending up with a cold or flu every Christmas because of the stress you're under?
8) Nope, the kids aren't forgot.

2) By beginning to plan NOW, you have two years to speak to family members and get everyone organized.
3) It gives you time to discuss the plans with the extended family and invite them to join you.
4) By booking with Cruise Freek Forums, you're going to receive special perks that you simply won't receive booking on your own.
5) One of the perks of booking with Cruise Freek Forums is the amazing pre-cruise packages put together.

Join us today!

Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ

Opened in May of 2004, the cruise port is located on The Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor, formerly the Bayonne Navy Base/MOTBY facility. Fifteen minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport and seven miles south of Manhattan, Cape Liberty is easily accessible via the New Jersey Turnpike (Exit 14A) and mass transportation (NJ Hudson-Bergen Light Rail).

Re-establishing a long, proud history, Cape Liberty marks the return of passenger ships sailing from New Jersey. In our fifth year, Cape Liberty has been responsible for the safe passage of over 320,000 passengers - the second largest passenger volume among Northeast and Mid-Atlantic coast ports.

Cape Liberty has unparalleled views of the Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline. We offer ample parking, a convenient location and easy access to start and end your trip.

In 2008, for the first time, we will be offering year-round cruises to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean. From April through October, we offer 5- and 9-Night cruises to Bermuda and the Caribbean, and, from July through October, cruises to Canada and New England. Our homeport vessels include Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas and Celebrity Cruises' Constellation.

Cape Liberty is an integral part of the multi-billion dollar redevelopment of The Peninsula.

In the early stages of a major transformation by the City of Bayonne and the Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority, The Peninsula will be home to new residents and businesses that will overlook a neighboring golf course, marina and park.

Family Cruising on Royal Caribbean for Christmas

Family Cruising

Every year, more and more families are sailing with Royal Caribbean International. A cruise vacation gives families a chance to spend time together and create memories while exploring exciting new places. With so many cool activities onboard, "Are we there yet?" is a thing of the past. From Royal Caribbean classics like our rock wall to the Adventure Ocean and Fisher-Price kids' programs, there's always something fun to do. And, when the ship is in port, our Explorations! shore excursions turn every destination into a family-friendly adventure. Check out more family fun below, and start planning your 2010 Christmas vacation with Royal Caribbean and Cruise Freek Forums today!

Onboard Features and Activities
With some of the most innovative ships at sea, Royal Caribbean offers plenty of ways to keep kids entertained. Kids and their parents can get together and participate in fun onboard activities like ice-skating, karaoke, talent shows, bingo tournaments and the family disco. Take part in constructing and decorating a Lowe's wooden cruise ship in our 'Build and Grow' with Lowes workshops. Foster friendly competition with a family climb on our famous rock wall or a round on the mini-golf course.

Family Destinations and Shore & Land Excursions
Royal Caribbean's private destinations, CocoCay and Labadee, have all the makings of a perfect family adventure. Both islands offer pristine beaches and spectacular scenery, but kids will be most fascinated by state-of-the-art Aqua Parks and Labadee Luc's Splash Bash. Older kids might enjoy parasailing and snorkeling as well, or get the whole gang together for organized Family Beach Activities. Kids ages 3 to 8, accompanied by their parents, can experience a special driving adventure on the Fisher-Price Power Wheels® Track, featured on CocoCay.

With the huge variety of Shore & Land Excursions offered at all Royal Caribbean destinations, you're sure to find many that are suitable for the entire family. Sightsee, snorkel, explore ancient ruins or investigate a city museum-there is an excursion to match any taste or activity level.

Fisher Price Playgroups
Join your 6- to 36-month-old in the fun of Fisher-Price Aqua Babies and Aqua Tots, interactive playgroup sessions developed by early childhood experts at Fisher-Price. Each 45-minute session offers age-appropriate activities that expose children to new experiences while seamlessly combining playtime with learning time.

A parent or caregiver MUST accompany children during all playgroup sessions.

Adventure Ocean
Adventure Ocean is a complimentary program of fun and educational activities open to all guests ages 3-17. Children are separated by age: 3 to 5; 6 to 8; 9 to 11; 12 to 14; and 15 to 17. Your child will get to learn about local customs, do cool science experiments, and make great new friends. The 12-14 and 15-17 Adventure Ocean groups allow teens the freedom to come and go as they please for sports, themed parties, movie nights and more. Teens can also meet and relax in the laid-back Living Room lounge, or dance late into the night at Fuel, our teen-only nightclub.

To participate in Adventure Ocean, children must be three years of age and potty-trained (no pull-ups or diapers). You can feel confident leaving your children with us because every member of our Adventure Ocean staff holds a college degree in education, recreation, or related field and has experience working with children ages 3-17. All are certified in CPR.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry
For our youngest guests, we offer a kid's menu featuring all their favorites: pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, peanut butter, and mac and cheese. Kids have their own beverage programs too. The Unlimited Soda Package lets them purchase a fountain soda package so they can enjoy as many fountain sodas as they want.

On selected nights, our youth staff hosts dinners in our casual restaurants. It's a great opportunity for kids to eat with other kids and for parents to enjoy a meal alone.

Time for Mom and Dad

As a vacation for the whole family, Royal Caribbean also provides quiet time for Mom and Dad. That can be during the day, while the kids are at their own Adventure Ocean programs, or at night, while the kids are with babysitters. Babysitting is offered both in a group setting, and individually in your stateroom. In stateroom babysitting must be booked through the Guest Relations Desk (Purser's Desk) at least 24 hours in advance.

It cannot be booked prior to the cruise vacation and there is no guarantee that sitters will be available. The service is offered when personnel is available.

Children MUST be at least 1 year old.

Approximate Rate: $10.00 per hour for one or two children within the same family or $15.00 per hour for three children within the same family.

Times and prices are subject to change without notice. Payment must be made in cash.

Pre-Cruise Stay Planned for Manhattan Holiday Sailing 2010

We are planning one and two night pre-cruise packages in Manhattan. Yes, you read right, Manhattan. We understand fully that hotel prices are going to be double of hotels located in New Jersey but, it's part of the experience we are offering our cruisers. Why? Because Manhattan during the Holidays can only be described as magical. Currently in the works are plans to offer a city holiday lights tour (a very worthwhile enclosed bus tour that will allow you to see all the glam and glitter without the blisters on your feet), and, we are currently taking a poll to see if people would rather attend a Broadway show or go to Radio City for the Christmas Spectacular or both. We will be including dinner in the package and, it's going to be a wonderful time for all who join our group.

If this is your first time reading this blog, welcome! Cruise Freek Forums is planning a Holiday Cruise from Bayonne, New Jersey on Royal Caribbean and you're invited to join us!

2) Groups generally tend to receive some type of amenities package like onboard credit and discounted rates on fares. Cunard has one of the best and flexible group programs in the industry, even though you book as part of a "group" your reservation is treated like an individual reservation.

3) Reliable, dependable, trustworthy travel agents to make booking your cruise a pleasure. Unless there is a scheduling conflict, our assigned travel agent will be escorting the group to aid with any onboard requirements that might arise.

Christmas Cruise 2010 from New Jersey

It's beginning to feel a lot like summer, so, why am I blogging about a Christmas Cruise - that's more than 2 years away? Simple, it's call promotion. What's the point of having a great product or in this case cruise deal, if no one knows about it? Am I right?

Cruise Freek Forums is almost a year old and still very much unknown. There are a lot of people who think there is only one cruise message board out there and, it's not true. Unlike the other boards Cruise Freek Forums don't have a lot of silly rules or board politics or favorites. You should come over and give us a try! We have free cruise quotes, professional travel agent board hosts, and freedoms such as the ability to recommend travel agents, place contact information in your profile and lots of other liberating features!

We also have a bounty of cruise opportunities including:

  1. Grand Princess - Caribbean Holiday Cruise- December 19, 2008
  2. Celebrity Solstice in Europe - May 25, 2009
  3. Explorer of the Seas - Bermuda - June 20, 2009
  4. Queen Mary 2 - New England/Canada - July 1, 2009
  5. Radiance of the Seas - Alaska - July 17, 2009
  6. Celebrity Equinox Inaugural - Europe - August 8, 2009
  7. Mariner of the Seas - Mexico - October 11, 2009
  8. Project Genesis Inaugural Sailing - Fall, 2009
  9. Queen Mary 2 - Caribbean Holiday Cruise - December 20, 2009
Coming in 2010:
Celebrity Solstice - Caribbean President's Week - February 14, 2010

Disney for Easter - 3 Night Cruise/4 Night Park Combination for Easter week 2010
4th of July week - Princess Cruise Lines from NYC

***Holiday Cruise - Royal Caribbean from NJ
Spring/Summer - Cunard European Cruise

Fall - Cunard Inaugural of the NEW Queen Elizabeth

Cruise Freeks is proud to offer BOTH PEAK AND OFF PEAK WEEK GROUP CRUISES!

BACK TO CHRISTMAS CRUISE 2010
Our pre-cruise plans are going to be rather unconventional for a sailing from Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ at Christmas. If you have a tight budget, we apologize but, this is what the majority want on the message board and, unlike other boards, majority rules on Cruise Freeks Forums Cruise Message Board.

Some people like to make arguments about holiday cruises - that's they're too expensive. However, one could argue that the money saved on buying Christmas presents, food, your time and factoring intangible expenses such as aggravation, a few hundred dollars might just off-set the extra cost!

It is also the opportunity for the majority of people to escape Winter's cold grasp to enjoy some fun in the sun in the beautiful, tropical Caribbean.

Additionally, with the price of gas climbing and climbing with no signs of slowing down, cruising is becoming one of the best vacation values around, even more than it already is and this is a proven fact, not just opinion!

I think the biggest argument of why people don't sail during the holidays is family related issues like "My parents will kill me if we don't come to visit". Well, here's a thought...why not invite them along? It's not like a cruise is a last minute decision as studies show that most people book their cruise 6 months in advance and with holiday sailings it jumps to over a year in advance; so, there is time to set up a budget and pay it off as the months roll along. And, being the veteran of many holiday sailings I've seen more extended families on board during holiday sailings than any other time of year.

Another family related issue is that the kids will miss Christmas at home - interesting argument because the kids I see on the ships don't look like they are missing a thing! Santa always manages to find the cruise ships, clever parents can bring presents along with them as token gifts, and, I'm sure it's a better memory maker being on a cruise with their family than sitting around listening to same stories told by relatives...again.

So you have over a year to think about it and discuss it. Pricing for Christmas/New Years will be out sometime in April, 2009. It will be to your advantage to sign up today for our no obligation newsletter because that's exactly what it is...NO OBLIGATION. All the newsletter will do is keep you informed about this sailing. You can unsubscribe at anytime and it's FREE!

WHAT'S THAT?
Why are we sailing from the cold weather port of Bayonne, NJ? Because an estimated 60 Million people live within a four hour drive of Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ. That eliminates the hassle of flying for lots of folks. And that's who we're targeting. We're also targeting those who wish to take advantage of our New York for the Holidays pre-cruise package.

So why are you still sitting there? Join the list today!

In eager anticipation, members of Cruise Freek Forums are currently planning a pre-cruise party before the Inaugural sailing which will take place some time in 2009. The party will only be open to those who have booked with Cruise Freek Forums and, it's going to be an event you don't want to miss from food to drinks and dessert plus a DJ and dance floor to party the night away - not to mention a few surprised that are planned for the evening. Cruise Freek Forums are going to make the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Other fun filled events being planned on-board Oasis of the Seas are a Meet and Greet for those who are interested, a group dinner at one of the specialty restaurants and, a beach party to be determined once the itinerary has been announced.

Cruise Freek Forum's official travel agency for this Inaugural sailing of Oasis of the Seas is Ships N' Trips Travel. Additionally, all group activities are optional! If you simply want to book for pricing and amenities purposes you are more than welcome to do so! Many Cruise Message Boards focus too much on group activities and often pressure members and non-members who book to participate but, you'll never find that type of pressure with Cruise Freek Forums.

Oh sure, we're small, we get teased and called Cruise Geeks but, the truth of the matter is this Inaugural sailing is going to put Cruise Freek Forums on the map and notice as a real contender in the Cruise Message Board market. Many people are getting fed up with the quirks of the bigger boards and are loving the freedom they find on Cruise Freek Forums.

So come on over - Experience the Cruise Freek Forums difference! Sign up to join us on Genesis, now known as Oasis of the Seas today! The next announcement regarding this sailing is June 18 2008 and it is being rumored that it will be announcement of the opening day for bookings for this event. Royal Caribbean Selects Oasis Of The Seas And Allure Of The Seas As The Names For Its Project Genesis Ships

MIAMI, May 23, 2008 - An oasis is commonly defined as a fertile area in an arid region or a place of refuge, relief, or pleasant contrast. Today, Royal Caribbean International adds another use of the term, defining it as the official name for the cruise line's newest and most awe-inspiring class of cruise ships, until now referred to by the code name "Project Genesis."

The name Oasis of the Seas was selected from more than 91,000 entries in Royal Caribbean's "Name that Ship" contest, which the cruise line launched on January 18 in partnership with USA TODAY. Entrants were invited to submit two names ending in "of the Seas" that best encapsulate the universe of experiences a Royal Caribbean cruise provides guests. The contest marks the first time members of the general public, outside of the cruise industry, have been given the opportunity to name a cruise ship.

The winning combination of names, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, was submitted by George Weiser, of Livonia, Michigan. Weiser's well-chosen names scored the highest among all contest entries considered by a panel of judges, and earned him the honor of naming not only the world's next largest and most innovative cruise ships, but the entire class of the new ships, the Oasis-class. Weiser is joined by Jennifer Conley, of Robertsville, Missouri, who suggested Mystique of the Seas and also Allure of the Seas. Conley is also a winner in the naming contest for earning the second-highest score.

"Our customers are remarkably passionate about Royal Caribbean," said Adam Goldstein, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International. "This naming contest has been a fantastic expression of their interest and commitment. We are thrilled to announce these two names and grateful to USA Today for partnering with us."

The "Name that Ship" contest was judged by a panel of industry experts including Lauren Teton, founding partner of Name One!, which specializes in finding unique names for products and business entities; John Maxtone-Graham, maritime historian, lecturer and author of numerous books, including the latest, "Normandie: France's Legendary Art Deco Ocean Liner"; and Albert Mehrabian, Ph.D. Professor Emeritus of Psychology at UCLA and author of more than 14 books, including "Baby Name Report Card: Beneficial and Harmful Baby Names."

"Taking into account the remarkable sea-going destination Oasis of the Seas will be, the name selection evokes an appropriate feeling of verdant comfort and luxury," said John Maxtone-Graham, maritime historian. "I was very pleased with the final selection and for being invited to take part in the contest."

When launched in late 2009, Oasis of the Seas will be the largest and most revolutionary cruise ship in the world. An architectural marvel at sea, she will span 16 decks, encompass 220,000 gross registered tons, carry 5,400 guests, and feature 2,700 staterooms. The ship will homeport in Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2010, she will be joined by a sister ship, Allure of the Seas. Additional information is available at www.oasisoftheseas.com.
